Making a Stockpile List
Part 4 Grocery: Baking & Beverages

Make sure to read the rest of the series:

________________________________

Welcome to Part 4 of the Making a Stockpile List Series. This week we will start working on the Grocery portion of our stockpile list. Let's start with Baking (which will include spices and oils) and Beverages, next up will be breakfast & canned goods.

The Grocery portion of a stockpile list, especially if you have a family will be the hardest to do as it is different for everyone. We can pretty well establish that everyone needs laundry soap, but determining what type of cereal you may want in your stockpile, will take some thought. Hopefully I can help you with that. I will post my family list for everyone to see in a few days (when I get it finished) and it will include a list of stock up prices for those items with which I am familiar, and also what I think is a good quantity to stock based on my family size and sales cycle.

When stocking up on beverages, the sales are very seasonal, for example in the middle of June you are not going to see any deals on hot chocolate so when the sale comes around in November I get a 12 month supply (or until it expires) same with bottled beverages in the summer, though there are some deals to be had wen football season/ back to school sales come around.

Please leave a comment if you have any questions of feel free to email me at savewithashley@gmail.com.

    1. You might also include baking soda and jello.

    2. I would include dry Jell-o mix under gelatin, and baking soda is definitely a good addition!
