Common Couponing Terms & Acronyms

BOGO/B1G1 - Buy One Get One Free

BTFE - Box Tops For Education

CAT/Catalina - Coupon or advertisement printed from a special machine near the cash register (this is what your register rewards are printed on)

CRT - Cash Register Tape (some stores have coupons print on theirs)

DND - Do not double

ECB - Extra Care Bucks (for CVS shopping)

FAR - Free After Rebate

FARR - Free After Register Rewards

GM - General Mills: Newspaper coupon insert with coupons on General mills brand products

HBA - Health and Beauty Aids

HTH - Hope that helps

IP - Internet Printable: coupon that can be printed at your home computer from the internet

IVC - Instant value coupon (usually used to refer to in ad coupons/walgreens store coupons)

MIR - Mail in Rebate

MQ/ Manu Q - Manufacturer coupon

OOP - Out of pocket

P&G - Proctor & Gamble (if followed by a date this refers to this dates P&G newspaper insert filled with product coupons)

Peelie - Coupon sticker found attached to product

RIB - Reinventing Beauty (Magazine that can be found in CVS stores often with coupons in it)

RP - Red Plum: a coupon insert that can be found in your Sunday paper

RR - Register Rewards (for Walgreens shopping)

SS - Smart Source: a coupon insert that can be found in your Sunday paper

Stack - using both a manufacturer coupon and a store coupon on a single product

Tearpad - Pad of coupons located on a store shelf

TMF - Try Me Free: Rebate for full price of product

YMMV - Your Mileage may vary (may not work for you even though it worked for someone else)
WYB - When you buy
