10/7 Kroger & Walgreens Trips My $9 Challenge

The story: headed out to run some errands with Walgreens, Kroger, and Wal-mart on my list got my cart all loaded up at Kroger and started sorting out my coupons when I realized I forgot my bank card! The horror. Dug through my purse and discovered $8 in cash and some coins. Had to make some speedy decisions but I still ended up with some great deals from Kroger and had a few dollars left over for Walgreens.

Here are my trips:

Kroger is doing their mega deal again, buy 10 participating items get $5 off at the register, I bought 20 participating items for a $10 discount or $.50 off each item.

Total Out of Pocket = $5.81

That is a savings of 87%

Tax $1.05

Summary :

Total Before Sales and Discounts = $54.37

Total Out of Pocket = $1.00

+ $2.03 tax

 That is a savings of 98%

Thought I still did pretty good considering my limited funds!  Only spent $8.84 for both stores. Had to run back out to Kroger I will post that trip later.
